Direct Care

Families and individuals affected by autism are able to access Respite Care and Participant Assistance & Care (PAC) services through ASI in all 92 counties in Indiana. Respite Care and PAC services can be accessed through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver.

Respite Care

The goal of these services is to care for the caregiver and to provide temporary relief from the sometimes 24-hour job of supervising and supporting a person with a disability. Respite services provide the parent or guardian time to connect with friends and family, attend a special event, relax, run errands, and reenergize while knowing their loved one is cared for.

Participant Assistance & Care (PAC) 

These services allow individuals with autism to remain and live successfully in the environment they are comfortable in and to function and participate in their communities in order to promote independence.
